A beautiful pair of hanging teardrop earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring has a simple and stylish design that features hand-carved jasper links, which are set in 9kt gold findings. A smooth jasper bead forms the surmount, which is attached to an earring wire at the top. Dangling freely below is a teardrop jasper link held within a smooth cap. The carved jasper is smoothly polished, displaying a natural rust color that is earthy and ever so slightly marbled. When worn, the earrings dangle with lovely movement and make a stylish everyday accessory!
Measurements: The earrings hang 2 1/2” long from the top to bottom. The round jasper surmounts measure 3/8" in diameter. The hanging teardrop links measures 1 3/4” long and are 3/8” wide at the base.
Condition: The earrings are in very good antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, which has a natural patina that is typical of antique jewelry. The carved jasper links are intact and free of any noticeable chips or surface scratches. The earring wires are secure and in good condition.
