A wonderful and artistic angel pin from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful piece is made of natural lava and has an exquisite hand carved design. It depicts a sweet angel face looking to the side, with beautiful feathered wings surrounding its face. The detail of the piece is very fine, complete with intricate facial features, individual feathers, and flowing locks of hair. The lava itself has an earthy tan color and displays a lovely, matte finish. On the back of the piece is a simple bar pin clasp and c-catch clasp. This gorgeous Victorian pin shows exemplary craftsmanship and would make a very special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pin measures 2” long, 1 1/4” tall and is approximately 5/8” at its deepest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. Besides minimal normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the carved lava and the pin clasp is secure and in good working condition.
