A beautiful and unusual coral ring from the late Georgian (ca1830) era! This wonderful antique ring is crafted in 15kt gold and features a faceted coral centerpiece. The natural coral has a rich salmon color and is bezel set within a closed back setting. A delicate silver beadwork border surrounds the coral centerpiece, adding a subtle mixed metals touch. Sculpted shoulders form the gold band, which has a floral motif with flowers and leaves that extend all the way around the back. The detailed design also includes hand engraved details on the interior of the band and on the underside of the close-backed setting, which is unusual and quite artistic! When worn, the color of the coral looks magnificent within the setting, and the faceted surface catches the light beautifully. A very special antique piece, it would make a wonderful addition to any Georgian jewelry collection!

Measurements: The ring has an approximate finger size of 5.25. It could possibly be resized slightly, but due to the design we do not recommend making substantial changes to the ring size. The coral centerpiece measures approximately 3/4" tall, 1/2" wide, and 1/4" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent, particularly considering its age. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and silver setting or to the faceted coral, which is intact and free of any apparent chips or scratches. Some of the engraved details are now slightly faded due to normal wear and age. There is a natural patina on the setting, which is normal for antique jewelry and adds to its unique appearance and character.
