A wonderful gold chain from the Georgian era! This beautiful handmade piece is crafted in 18k yellow gold and has a lovely and simple design. The chain is comprised of oval links that latch through each other and twist to form a long, seamless, rope-like strand. Each link has a smooth surface that lends a bright, rich, buttery yellow appearance to the design. At the center of the chain is a large bead-like push clasp which is marked "750" for gold purity on the tongue of the clasp. The chain weighs 34.7 grams. A classic and versatile piece, it would make a wonderful addition to any antique collection!
Measurements: The chain measures 46" long and is approximately 3/16" wide. The watch swivel clasp hangs 7/8" long at the center.
Condition: The overall condition of the chain is excellent. The gold setting and links show little signs of wear. The clasp functions and closes securely.
