A gorgeous festoon necklace from the Victorian period (ca1880)! This stunning piece features 7 graduating pear cut amethyst drop links that hang from a 14kt gold chain in a festoon style. The amethyst links are beautifully faceted and have a lovely deep purple color that looks spectacular paired with the gold accents! Connecting the links are lengths of fine chain, delicate seed pearls, and scrolling accents that complete the gorgeous feminine design. The gold chain fastens in the back with a spring ring clasp, and the necklace drapes beautifully at the neckline when worn. Measurements: The necklace measures 17.25" long. The tear drops range in size, with the largest hanging 1/2" long and the smallest hanging 3/8" long.
