A gorgeous pair of turquoise hoop earrings from the Vintage (ca1960s) era! Crafted in sterling silver, each earring begins with a small turquoise cabochon surmount. The turquoise stone is held within a prong-setting. The earrings then feature a large silver hoop, which features 5 turquoise cabochons running horizontally across the bottom of the component. The turquoise stones are lined on the bottom by 5 smaller, silver hoops, which each feature a small, thin sterling silver dangling rods. The sterling silver rods are able to move freely within their individual hoops. The earrings are completed by simple posts and friction backs. The backside of the friction backs are stamped with a "STERLING" purity mark. The back of the earrings are marked with two maker's mark which read: "MilNant" and "ZMZ". A marvelous pair, these unique earrings would make a wonderful addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang 1 3/4" long, are 3/4" across at the widest point and 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting or to the turquoise stones, all of which are intact. The earring posts and friction backs are secure and in working order.
